Artist's Description

This is what the historical marker says: Addicks United Methodist Church:
German immigrants settled in the area surrounding Langham and Bear Creek in the 1840's. In 1879 they established the Bear Creek German United Methodist Church. In the area a small church was erected but the site proved to be poorly drained and often inaccessible.
In 1902 the sanctuary was moved to the corner of Patterson Road and Highway 6. A part of the acreage was laid out as a cemetery. It is still active and maintained today.
A storm in 1915 destroyed the sanctuary but by the end of the year a new church was erected. Area flooding and the construction of the Addicks Reservoir in 1940 caused the church to be moved 1.7 miles south to where it is located today.
In 1968 the congregation changed its name to Addicks United Methodist Church.

About Nathan Little

Nathan Little

Nathan Little is a professional nature and landscape photographer who resides in Katy Texas. His photography passion consist of such things as; old historic buildings and landmarks, animals, flowers, and macro photography of various insects. Most products on his page are available except for duvet covers. His images are not designed to fit such an item, and images for canvas prints have the ability to be cropped to the appropriate size needed to achieve a satisfying end result. As far as pricing goes, his products are slightly lower in comparison to other artists on FAA and Pixels. This is done so more people can take advantage of the imagery that he offers those who are willing to purchase his work. We hope you enjoy his work that spans...
